Hey, I’m Jo.
I’m a 26-year old writer who lives in Brisbane, Australia.
Jo Fraser Writes is a bit of a mess.
The photos aren’t great. Some are taken on my iPhone.
My writing has typos, is a wee bit overemotional, and changes style from week to week.
I try to travel with a floppy traveller-girl hat, but mostly it gets crushed in my bag.
Yet, here we are.
And you are SO welcome.
(Like, really, really welcome. Please read something.)
Ya see, this blog of mine was always intended to be a place where I can learn to write.
And hopefully, in my messy fumbling, I can help you travel a bit better.
Or at least entertain you.
In my wildest dreams, I hope this blog makes you travel ethically, sustainably, and meaningfully.
I promise I will never go to a full-moon party and write about it.
Nor will I ever go to a “Cultural Show and Dinner Extravaganza“
You will probably never find me on a cruise.
(unless that shit is paid for- buffets, people, so many buffets)
This is not the blog for that.
If you’re looking for a place to get started, here are some of my favourite messes:
Why I’m single and mostly fine with it- Being Single: Six Reasons Why it’s All Cool
That one time I went to a Greek Island- Karpathos: The Greek Island You Need to Visit Now
And the time I drove a campervan around NZ- A Campervan Adventure in Tekapo and Wanaka
Or being a digital nomad in Budapest- Budapest: Wherever You Go, There You Are
Maybe check out this little story about fear in Madagascar- Travel Stories: My First (Scary) Night in Madagascar
And if you like what you see, you’re always welcome to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’re the Lonely Planet, you’re especially welcome.
Or like, Adam Driver. Please don’t hesitate.
